The roller’s resistance is adjustable, allowing you to make it harder or easier to turn the pedals.

The only issue is that the extra features mean the bike takes up a bit more space when folded. The desk takes up an area of 16” x 19”. These levels don’t differ too much, and I would have liked the max resistance to be slightly tougher.The bike also has a phone holder at the front of the bike, which is useful if like me, you like to listen to music or watch TV as you exercise. Price During testing, we found the VeloCore's screen to be fantastic. It's big, bright, and pretty easy to use as long as your fingers aren't slippery with sweat. The console tilts but is very sturdy while you're using the bike.

If you're just starting out and you're not used to much exercise, whatever you can manage is good going.If you do want these extra features, then you will most likely need to stretch the budget that bit further. With manual resistance and a screen that allows you to monitor your speed, time and distance, this bike is excellent value for the price.

The handle bars were not the most comfortable of the bikes we tested but they do the job and have in-built pulse rate monitors with heart rate being conveniently displayed on the LCD screen found on the large centre console. Here you can expect to find out your distance, time, speed, calories used as well as a count down feature if you prefer your workout to countdown.The LCD monitor sits atop the handlebars and has a large screen that shows you all the usual stats including speed, time, distance, calories and heart rate. The pulse rate monitors are found in the handle bars which are also well made, comfortable and give you added stability. There is a convenient phone/mobile device holder just underneath the main display – this is a great addition and allows you to use your phone in landscape mode to watch videos whilst still being able to see the main display of the bike – however if you want to view your phone in portrait mode it will obscure the main bike display. We actually found this to be one of the best features of the bike as the phone holder is in such a convenient place. Although it’s not completely silent, this bike is exceptionally quiet. It won’t wake the neighbors or anyone else in the house if you use it at night.
