About this deal
The Guide from Saucony has received high marks for consistently being a solid shoe in the brand’s stability lineup, as the mid-cushioned, firmer younger sister of the brand’s Hurricane which employs the softer PWRRUN+ midsole. Founded in 1898, Saucony traces its early roots to the banks of the Saucony Creek in Pennsylvania, inspiring the Saucony logo which represents the endless flow of that waterway. Three decades on since its first product award in 1977 for innovative design, the running industry continues to recognise its advanced design performance and technical leadership with numerous awards from Runner’s World magazine, helping to propel it into the league of elite running footwear. For a neutral shoe, the Saucony Ride really impressed us with its steady platform. We believe that it comes from the combination of the midsole shape, the foam firmness, and the fact that our heels sit deeper inside the shoe.

Whether you’re doing an easy run or logging uptempo miles, the running shoes you wear for most of your workouts need to be comfortable. Thankfully, the Ride 14 delivers a classic, straightforward fit. Buy the Saucony Ride 14 if you want a utilitarian trainer with a plushly padded upper, stretchy tongue gussets, and a comfortable fit. If you desire peace of mind that your shoe will feel the same on mile 1, mile 20, and mile 300, this is the shoe for you. For Saucony fans, think of the luxe cushion from the Triumph collection but with a little less weight.Performance: A- (Great at easy paces, daily paces, soft and flexible ride is nice, the shoe could do a little better at uptempo however) Saucony used its TRIFLEX outsole technology beneath the Ride 14. The rubber outsole adds traction on pavement and improves the shoe’s durability, but it also prioritizes a natural roll from heel to toe. Because there are loads of perforations, especially in the forefoot area, this shoe is pretty breathable! Even under hot temps, it doesn't feel warm.

Every time I put Guide on, I am amazed by the soft hug that keeps on comforting me all through the run. Guide’s upper supports, reflects, and genuinely “works.” The Ride 15 upper can be summed up in 3 words: comfortable, secure and accommodating. Saucony hit this upper out of the park and it might be one of my favourite uppers.
